Lesson 9: Lost in the Shopping Mall

Yesterday, my sister and I went to a large shopping mall in the city. We wanted to buy a birthday gift for our mother.

The mall was bigger than we expected. There were more shops than in our town, and the building was taller than any other building near our home.

My sister is more patient than me, but I am faster than her. While we were looking for a gift, I stopped to check my phone. When I looked up, she was gone.

The place was more crowded than before, and I felt more nervous than usual.

After a few minutes, I found her near the information desk. She was calmer than me and laughed.

“This mall is more confusing than a maze,” she said.
