Lesson 4: The Morning Surprise
Every morning, I walk to school with my best friend, Leo. We leave our houses at 7:30 and meet near the small bridge.
Today, something strange happens.
As we walk past the park, we see a small box under a tree. Leo looks at me and says, “What is that?”
I feel curious, so I open it slowly.
Inside the box, there is a little puppy! It looks cold and hungry. The puppy shakes and makes a soft sound.
“We can’t leave it here,” Leo says.
We take the puppy to the animal center near our school. The woman there thanks us and smiles.
Now, every morning, we visit the puppy before class. We call him Lucky.
